So I made art for _mournthewicked's wonderful J2 Tangled AU, change the fates' design, which you should all go read. ♥ I loved how she brought the magical elements into a modern retelling, and I tried to bring some of that storytelling whimsy into the art.

This year for spn_j2_bigbang, I picked splashpink's awesome J2 fic, Fiddler's Green! As you may be able to deduce from the summary, there are a lot of Marines in it. :D So that inspired the theme of the main piece of art!

This year, for spn_j2_bigbang, I had the unexpected privilege of making art for my good friend rei_c's AMAZING AND GORGEOUS Sam/Dean fic, The Vernacular Process. Seriously, go read it immediately--there's reincarnation, hoodoo, the Civil War, boys being complete idiots, and true love. What more do you ever need, I ask you. ♥♥♥♥♥

Finally getting around to doing this! (Thanks, wendy, for reminding me.) At the end of June, I posted a little thing I made for _mournthewicked's spn_j2_bigbang fic. This isn't my official spn_j2_bigbang art, but after talking to _mournthewicked about her amazing J2 fic tell them we're like magnets (a part of her reinventing love verse, which I HIGHLY recommend) and then finally reading it, I was inspired to create something for it. Here is my art for reccea's spn_j2_bigbang fic In Production, which of course I think you all should read. :D I stressed a bit about making it come together, but I think it looks all right. I do want to apologize for the file sizes to people on slower connections--I couldn't make them any smaller and still retain quality resolution. Sorry!

So I had the privilege of making art for keepaofthecheez's absolutely brilliant Big Bang fic, There Moves A Thread That Has No End (which, by the way, I am reccing wholeheartedly). I don't usually make things on this scale, and the process involved much flailing and some Photoshop experimentation, but Lindsay says it came out all right, so I won't stress anymore ( Read more... )
